A cracking wee cartoon of the leading members of Celtic’s famous reserve team of the 1960s, the Quality Street Gang/Kids.
Reared by Sean Fallon and blooded by Jock Stein, some of the Kids went on to become big names in football – few more so than European Cup winner Kenny Dalglish.
Lou Macari was hugely popular at Manchester United and Danny McGrain remains a Celtic treasure to this day. Davie Hay of course went on to become Celtic manager after his playing career was ended through serious injury while at Chelsea. Paul Wilson was a great goalscorer in the Hoops in his prime while Vic Davidson, it could be fairly said, never reached his potential.
For Celtic fans of a certain age, the sublime skill of George Connelly will live with them for the rest of their days.
