The stories that supporters share are one of the vital elements in Celtic’s rich (and of course, unbroken) history. They keep alive an oral tradition of story-telling where tales are passed down through the generations – sometimes of uncertain truths! – about great games and amazing players, humorous moments, mad supporters, trips to and from Glasgow and to all corners of the globe. Wherever Celtic supporters have ended up, their stories follow them.
Here is a selection of some of the stories that we’ve come across from various sources – an oral tradition being kept alive in the digital age.
If you’ve got a funny or interesting Celtic story about you or your pals, your family or friends, a certain player, fan or match, anything Celtic-related which you’d like to share, then email us at theshamrock@outlook.com
