#CelticScarves – 1954 Scottish Cup Final

Four Leaf Clover on KDS posted pictures of this amazing home-made scarf made for the 1954 Scottish Cup Final v Aberdeen (Celtic won 2-1).

John Thomson was still mourned by the support at the time (scarf front):

#Celtic Scarves – “We’ve won the League again, fly the flag – fly the flag”

Celtic Research unearthed this gem celebrating the 1981 Title success under Billy McNeill. The so-called ‘New Firm’ were shown the door when goals from Frank McGarvey, Murdo MacLeod and (an absolute peach from) Tommy Burns clinched the Championship at Tannadice on April 25th 1981.

TartanMarco’s scarf is a constant reminder of Joe Joe Super Joe Miller’s greatest moment when he won the Cup for us against the Forces of Darkness in 1989 (and Peter Grant stopped him from running into the Huns End to celebrate with the great unwashed).

Unusual to see a scarf with the entire team’s signatures printed on it. Little did we know then we’d have some wait before our next trophy success.
